Lewis County Court Activity Report for August 13,

Lowville, NY- The following
plea and sentencing activity took place on Friday morning in Lewis County
Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding:
Morgan E. Baslow, 27, of Turin, pleaded guilty to one
count of fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a class A misdemeanor,
admitting to illegally possessing metal knuckles in the village of Port
Leyden on July 15, 2020. She was then sentenced to serve a three-year term
of probation and ordered to pay $250 in court fees.
Brandi L. Brown, 36, of Carthage,
pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree Criminal Mischief, a class E
felony, admitting to intentionally causing damage to the vehicle of another
individual on September 15, 2019 in the village of
Lowville. Sentencing was adjourned to October 29, when Ms. Brown is
expected to be placed on interim conditions of probation for one year, with
$1,339.16 due in restitution. If the interim probation period is successfully
completed, Ms. Brown would receive an additional four years on probation
and if unsuccessful she would be facing a year in Lewis County Jail.
Stacey R. Dixon, 34, of Port
Leyden, was sentenced to serve 3 years under probation supervision on
charges of second-degree Criminal Impersonation of a Police Officer and
second-degree Criminal Contempt, both class A misdemeanors, to which she
pleaded guilty to on June 4th. She was additionally ordered to perform
40-hours of community service and must pay $500 in court fees.
Allen J. LaParr, 42, of Harrisville, was sentenced to
serve a 3-year term under probation supervision on charges of Driving While
Intoxicated and second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle,
both unclassified misdemeanors to which he pleaded guilty to on May 25th. He
was additionally ordered to pay $1,340 in court fees and fines and will be
required to install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle.
Llyod V. Lennox, 34, currently a
resident at the St. Lawrence County Jail, entered a guilty plea to one
count of second-degree Burglary, a class C felony, admitting to entering a
residence on Maple Street in the town of Diana on March 14, 2020, with the
intent to steal property. Sentencing was adjourned to October 8, when Mr.
Lennox is expected to be sent to State prison for 5 years as a
second-felony offender. The sentence is expected to run concurrent with a 5-year
prison sentence received on a case in St. Lawrence County court.
Charles E.
Taylor, Jr., 57, of Lowville, pleaded guilty to one count each of fifth-degree
Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and fifth-degree Criminal
Possession of a Controlled Substance, both class D felonies, as well as a
misdemeanor count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Taylor
admitted to knowingly selling methamphetamine to another individual on July
14, 2020 in the village of Lowville and possessing
methamphetamine with the intent to sell, along with envelopes to package
the substance, on September 08, 2020 in the village of Lowville. Sentencing
in the case is scheduled for October 29, when Mr. Taylor is expected to be
sent to State prison for 3 years.
Halley A. Turck, 23, of Lowville, pleaded guilty to a reduced
charge of Criminal Trespass, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an incident on
November 08, 2020 in the town of New Bremen. She was then
sentenced to a 1-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay $250 in
court fees. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

of Lewis County Court is scheduled for Friday, August 27, 2021.
