State Labor Department Releases Preliminary
Unemployment Data for May

The New York
State Department of Labor released preliminary unemployment data for May
this afternoon. Lewis County’s May unemployment rate was 4.7 percent, down
from last year’s rate of 10.1 percent for April. The rate for April 2021
was 6.1 percent. The full press
