Humane Society receives a $500.00 grant award from the BISSELL Pet
Foundation
Lowville, NY – The Lewis County Humane Society, located on the Pine Grove Road in
Glenfield, NY, today announced the receipt of a grant award for $500.00
from BISSELL’s “Feed the Shelters” program. This money will allow us to purchase food
needed for all the animals in our care. With food being a top line budget
item, this grant money will help tremendously and is greatly appreciated by
all our Dogs & Cats!
Partners for Pets
BISSELL Pet
Foundation’s Partners for Pets program is designed to support shelters,
rescue groups and spay/neuter organizations that are helping to reduce pet
overpopulation across the United States. The Lewis County Humane Society is
a partner in good standing and are proud to be a part of the foundations
network! How
can LCHS receive funds from Facebook giveaways and sweepstakes? Be
sure to follow and watch the BISSELL Pet Foundation social media pages
regularly! For most giveaways and sweepstakes, when a winner is chosen,
they can choose a partner organization to receive a grant from BISSELL Pet
Foundation. So, the more supporters of LCHS that are engaged in these events,
the better our chances are to receive funding for our organization!
Feed the Shelters
Program
BISSELL Pet
Foundation recognizes the immediate and urgent need for food for animals in
shelter care. During the month of March BISSELL Pet Foundation conducted a
Bag for Bag donation program as a fundraiser: How it Worked: All month long
in March, every $20 donation activated BPF’s bag-for-bag match. That means
your donation counted for not one, but TWO 30lb bags of pet food that
combined provide 292 meals for pets in need. Because of this program
LCHS was awarded the grant to purchase necessary food for the shelter
animals.
