June 10th:

Everyone is invited to a free Community meal. This Stone Soup Supper will be served at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lowville on Thursday, June 10th. This month we are having grilled cheeseburgers or Italian sausages with baked beans, coleslaw, and dessert. We will be continuing our drive-up to-go distribution starting at 4:00pm on Trinity Ave.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

 

June 14th:

The Lewis County Memorial Post VFW will host a Flag Day Flag Retirement Ceremony on Monday, June 14th at 6 pm at the Post. Anyone with unusable flags is welcome to drop them off. The public is welcome.  The Americanism Chairperson will be present to answer any questions about flag etiquette. Light refreshments will be served.

 

June 15th:

The Lowville American Legion, 5383 Dayan St., will be hosting a weekly “Cruise-in” each Tuesday from 5-8 PM, with the classics stretching from the Legion to Veterans Park. This event is Open to the Public.  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and more will be available for a nominal cost at Veterans Park.

 

June 29th:

The Croghan Mennonite Church will hold their monthly Stone Soup dinner on June 17.  We will be serving sloppy joes on a bun, baked beans, carrots, and fruit salad.  We will be serving from 4:00 till gone drive-thru only.  All are welcome!

 

June 22nd:

The Lowville American Legion, 5383 Dayan St., will be hosting a weekly “Cruise-in” each Tuesday from 5-8 PM, with the classics stretching from the Legion to Veterans Park. This event is Open to the Public.  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and more will be available for a nominal cost at Veterans Park.

 

June 27th:

St. Martin's and St. John's in Port Leyden and Lyons Falls will hold their Annual Strawberry Social on Sunday, June 27th from 3:00 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. As a drive-thru event at Port Leyden Community (Fire) Hall.  To benefit numerous building projects.  The Social is offering a picnic menu:  hamburgers, hot dogs, hot and sweet sausage, strawberry shortcake, sundaes, and milkshakes.  There will be a Chinese Auction, a fancy cake silent auction and several raffles.  To pre-order, contact Stacey McCall at 315 348-5138 or Chris Chaufty at 315-766-6897.

July 3rd:

The Mennonite Heritage Farm is having a chicken barbecue drive through at the Croghan Mennonite Church on Saturday, July 3, from 11 a.m. until served. Menu is chicken halves, macaroni salad, baked beans, roll, and whoopie pie. Chicken halves will be available. There will also be a bake sale at the church.
