Notice from Solid Waste Department of Lewis County

Over the course of this summer, and into the fall, the Lewis County Solid Waste Transfer Station on Route 26 in Lowville will be under construction. The County is upgrading the facilities in an effort to streamline operations and improve site safety by separating commercial and residential traffic. The $1.8M project is scheduled to conclude in October of this year.

Service is not expected to be interrupted during the duration of construction. Customers of the Solid Waste Transfer Site are urged to use caution while utilizing the services on site. Please pay attention to signage, as site entrances and traffic patterns will be disrupted by the construction.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as the County undertakes this important project.
