Lowville American Legion to host Veterans benefits and counseling Open House

Lowville NY- The Lowville American Legion will be hosting a Veterans Open House on Friday and Saturday, May 21st and 22nd from 1 – 5 PM.

If you have never applied for VA benefits, or wish to increase what you have, this is your chance.  With the help of the Watertown Mobile Vet Center and the Jefferson County VA representative, we hope to enroll eligible Veterans into the numerous programs offered by the VA.

The Vet Center works primarily on counseling services available for PTSD, depression, the transition from the military, and numerous other counseling programs.  The VA representative will be working specifically on enrolling and increasing benefits, for eligible Veterans.

Please empty your footlocker on this one.  You will need copies of your DD 214 (at the very least) to start the process.    If we are extremely busy, the necessary forms will be available and we will get back to you within 72 hours.  NYS will be unable to attend this event due to Covid restrictions, they can be reached at 315-785-2468.

The Lowville American Legion is located at 5383 Dayan Street.  Reach them at 315-376-3712.
