Lewis County Native Julie Emery, FNP Returns Home to
Provide Primary Care Services at Newly Renovated Copenhagen Health Center

Graduate Julie L. Emery, FNP Returns Home to Provide Primary Care
LOWVILLE, NY - Lewis County
Health System (LCHS) is pleased to announce Family Nurse Practitioner Julie
L. Emery, FNP-C, has joined the medical staff. She will provide a full range of primary
health care services for the entire family at the newly renovated
Copenhagen Health Center, located at 9732 State Route 12 in Copenhagen,
starting on Monday, May 17, 2021.
“We are very fortunate
that Julie decided to return home to Lewis County to provide health care
where she grew up,” stated Gerald R. Cayer, CEO,
Lewis County Health System. “Julie
is energetic, compassionate, and highly motivated to provide access to quality
health care for patients at the Copenhagen Health Center.”
Ms. Emery is a
native of Croghan, NY, and a 2005 graduate of Beaver River Central School. In Springfield, MO, she earned her
Bachelor of Science in Biology with a chemistry minor in 2009 from Evangel
University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 from Cox College.
Julie completed her Master of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the
University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, in 2018.
Before returning
to her hometown, Julie worked for Tenet Health at Fort Mill Family
Practice. She provided a wide range of medical care for patients ranging
from wellness visits and primary care to complex disease and chronic
illness management. Before becoming
a Nurse Practitioner, she worked in the nursing field for eight years at
Carolina Healthcare System.
“I had a great
experience while obtaining my education and working for Carolina Healthcare
System and Tenet Health,” stated Julie Emery, FNP. “It allowed me to step out and see something
different by working in a larger healthcare system. But all along, I
pictured myself living and working in Lewis County.”
Julie grew up in
Croghan, New York, and is the daughter of Bruce and Barbara Emery. Aside from providing health care, she
enjoys running and hiking and continues her love of music. She is assisting with cross-country team coaching
at Beaver River Central School and will provide health care services for
Copenhagen Central School.
“I am looking
forward to taking care of patients of all ages and helping to ensure that
residents in Copenhagen and surrounding communities have access to primary
health care services,” stated Julie Emery, FNP.
Copenhagen Health
Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information or to schedule an
