West Carthage Man Suspected of Shooting Two People to
Death at Watertown Real Estate Agency Located with Fatal Self-Inflicted

INFORMATION:
State Police and
the Watertown City Police Department have identified the two victims who
were killed in the shooting incident as:
- Maxine M. Quigg, age 50 from Wellesley Island, NY
- Terence M. O’Brien, age 53 from Black River, NY
Both victims
worked at the Bridgeview Real Estate Agency where the shooting
occurred.
Following a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) a State Police K9 unit observed
the suspect vehicle on Route 11B in the town of Dickinson, Franklin County,
and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver, identified as
Barry Stewart, drove off the roadway and was found inside the vehicle with
a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the
hospital.
The investigation
is continuing.

The New York
State Police is assisting the Watertown Police with a Homicide that
occurred at the Bridgeview Real Estate Building, 145 Clinton Street, in
Watertown. Two people are deceased.
The suspect is Barry K. Stewart, age 55 from Carthage, NY. He is believed
to be driving a Grey 2020 F150 pickup truck
with NY Registration HUS-5491. Photos are below.
He is considered
armed and dangerous.
