Soldiers from Fort Drum's Combat Aviation Brigade Spend
Day in Lowville Assisting with Community Service Projects

Lowville, NY- A group of
soldiers from Fort Drum's 10th Mountain Division Combat Aviation Brigade are
spending the day in Lowville, helping out with a
number of tasks in the village. Lowville American Legion Post 162 Commander
Lee Hinkleman helped organize the annual day of
community service. Soldiers helped replace the American flags around the
village, with flags donated by Stewart’s Shops and Foy Insurance Agency,
according to Mr. Hinkleman. Other tasks that the
group of approximately 20 soldiers are assisting with include helping
install the shelving at the new Lowville Food Pantry building, Spring
cleanup at the Legion post and other projects around the village.
