| Update from Lewis County DMV on Best Ways to Process DMV Transactions December 02, 2020 10:30 a.m. |

I want to take this time to update the public on the best way to process their DMV transactions. Our office is still open to in-person transactions by appointment only. We are booking only transactions that need to be completed in person (license and testing). With winter approaching we will be seeing an increase in winter registrations-both snowmobile and automobile. Registration transactions, and other non license transactions should be completed through our Drop Box located in the front of the DMV building. For these types of transactions it is a much quicker turn-around time and leaves the in-person time slots for those that must appear in person to complete their transaction. For questions regarding registration transactions or any other Drop Box transactions please use the following resources:
To make an appointment for an in-person transaction, please use the following resources: Book your own appointment at www.lewiscountydmv.setmore.com or call Lewis County DMV Appointment Phone Line at 315-376-9729. Please be advised that all phone lines are taking a high volume of calls. Lewis County DMV is one of the few DMV’s that will answer the phone for customer questions. If you have problems contacting DMV with general questions, please remember we are doing appointments, mail transactions and assisting as many customers as we can on the phone line. The DMV appointment line is being answered by the County Clerk staff. Along with booking DMV appointments between 9:00-3:30, they are answering County Clerk phone calls and assisting Lewis County Public Health with contact tracing. If you need to reschedule an appointment because of a Public Health quarantine please call 315 376-9729 to reschedule. Your patience is appreciated. |
