Video: DANC Holds Dedication Ceremony
at New Harrisville Recycling Transfer Station

    Harrisville, NY- Officials with the Development Authority of the North Country
    (DANC) and Lewis County held a dedication ceremony today at the new regional
    recycling transfer station in Harrisville.

    Officials from Jefferson, St. Lawrence and Lewis counties were on hand for the
    unveiling of a sign at the site, located at the former Harrisville Dry Kiln property
    on Washington St.

    The facility is not yet operational, but DANC officials hope to have things up and
    running by the spring of next year. Officials provided a list of work that still needs
    to be completed prior to opening the facility, included at the end of the article.

    The facility will be used for municipalities to bring in their recyclable materials for
    transport to other processing locations, with the intention of cutting costs on the
    transport of the material.
