fully restored, according to a statement from Frontier late Sunday evening.
A lightning strike to a microwave tower at the company's Lowville Central Office
early Wednesday morning disrupted telephone service to a large swath of Lewis
County, impacting over 2,700 phone lines at its peak.
Some areas started to see service return late Thursday night into Friday. Frontier
officals had reported late Friday afternoon that service had been restored to 75
percent of affected customers, with the remainder expected to be restored later
Frontier officials said technicians will continue to address any isolated customer
or system issues that may arise from the lightning strike’s disruptive effect. Any
customer needing help should call Frontier at 1-800-921-8101
