    Harrisville, NY- It was a festive atmosphere in Harrisville on Friday evening,
    with the community turning out for a pasta dinner and ceremony to present
    championship rings and unveil the banner recognizing the school's first ever
    State Championship.

    The Pirates captured the state title in class D boys basketball after defeating
    Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville High School by a score of 67-54 on March
    17 in Binghamton, ending their impressive season with a 21-6 overall record.

    The team was presented with championship rings on Friday night, made possible
    through two anonymous donors.



















    School officials then unveiled the new championship banner, now on prominent
    display in the school's gymnasium.
