Press Release from Lowville American Legion:

Lowville American Legion seeking the history of the original WWI
Veterans who signed our original charter 100 years ago in 1919

One hundred years ago, In1919, a group of WWI Veterans got together and
founded the Lowville American Legion.  We need the community’s help in
identifying and sharing some history on the original signers of our charter.
This history will become a part of a book we are assembling to celebrate this
historic event.  What we are looking for is rank, branch, dates of service,
conflicts, civilian employment.  We will condense what we receive into a one
paragraph history. Old pictures are strongly encouraged. The deadline is March
11th. Information can be emailed to sarge8488@aol.com.  Please make mass
    distribution of this request.
A formal dinner will be held on March 27th.  Advertising spots still available for
this once in a lifetime book.
The American Legion is located at 5383 Dayan Street, Lowville.  Further
information can be obtained by calling 315-376-3712.
