Volunteers Needed for Salvation Army's Annual Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign in Lewis County 11/10/18 10:30am |
It’s Bell Ringing Time The holiday season is fast approaching, and many organizations are gearing up to spread love and joy throughout Lewis County. One such organization is the Lowville and Port Leyden/Lyons Falls Service Units of the Salvation Army. The red kettles and the bell ringers are a familiar sight in an effort to raise money for those within Lewis County who could use a hand up. BELL RINGERS ARE NEEDED! We would like to ask individuals, as well as people associated with clubs, organizations, businesses, youth groups and churches to sign up to ring the bell. Already this year Steel’s Ace, Search & Rescue and Head Start are supporting this year’s bell ringing campaign. The bell ringing schedules where you can sign up are: For Tops Market (ringing starts Nov. 13th) and Walmart (ringing starts Nov. 23rd) go to: www.bit.ly/LowvilleRedKettles2018 For Cliff’s Market in Port Leyden and Falls Pharmacy (ringing starts Nov. 15th) go to: www.bit.ly/ptleydenlyonsfallsredkettles Last year almost $12,000 was used to help people throughout Lewis County, thanks to all of the bell ringers as well as everyone who put money in the red kettles. Steve Strait and Dave Shivers are heading up this year's Lowville campaign and can be reached at: 315-804-4582. Chris and Jim Chaufty are leading the Port Leyden/Lyons Falls campaign and can be reached at: 315-766-6897. Let’s make this bell ringing season a success and be neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you! |
