    Lowville. NY- Lewis County Public Health officials held a Mass Vaccination Drill
    this morning, preparing in case a situation ever arose where a quick mass
    vaccination is needed in the county.

    New York State provided a scenario where an employee at a local grocery store
    contracts the highly contagious Hepatitis A virus, contaminating produce bought
    during a specific time frame at the store.

    The drill provides Public Health with a hands-on exercise to evaluate their
    practices and procedures in preparation of a real emergency.

    We spoke with Lewis County Public Health Public Information Officer Anna Platz
    during the drill for an overview of the event, included in the video below.
