Croghan, NY- Voters in the Lewis County Board of Legislators District 2 will be tasked with choosing a new representative on Tuesday, with current legislator and chairman of the board Mike Tabolt not seeking re-election after serving the past 14 years.
Residents in District 2, which covers the Village of Croghan and a good portion of the Town of Croghan, will have a choice between Brenda Chartrand (Republican/Conservative/People's Choice party lines) and Randy LaChausse (Independence/Democratic party lines).

Name: Brenda Lee Chartrand

Bio: I am a lifelong resident of Lewis County. I retired after 20
years of employment with Lewis County DSS. I worked with
programs mandated by the state. I realize what a large part of the
county budget these programs require. I am aware of some of the
issues the county is facing, and I would like the opportunity to help
resolve some of these issues. I believe my employment
background with the county and my union activity has given me a
solid base.
I was a member of the DSS Relay for Life team.
During my employment with the county I was an officer for Local
825. I also held a seat on CSEA Statewide Board of Directors for 8
years, representing Local 825.
My husband and I are involved in our parish ministries.
I am not a politician. I am a Lewis County taxpayer. I would like to
become a member of the team working for the betterment of
county.

Bio: I am a lifelong resident of Lewis County and the Town of
Croghan. My wife Janice and I have been married for 38 years and
we have two sons and six grandchildren.

1000 Islands Fish & Game Club
Northern Tier Trap League (Current President)
Numerous other organizations
I am also actively involved in the Lewis County Christmas Sharing
Program, collecting toys and donations for the past 17 years.
A less intrusive government with a common sense regulations
geared toward private sector business growth and subsequent job
creation will be my main area of concentration, while maintaining a
non-partisan approach as a legislator.
