| Glenfield Man Facing Grand Larceny and Falsifying Business Records Charges in Oneida County 08/26/16 12:00pm |
According to Sheriff Robert M. Maciol; On August 25, 2016; at about 2:30 pm; Benjamin R. Simonds, age-31, of Glenfield, N.Y. turned himself in to the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office where he was arrested for Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class-E Felony and Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree, a Class-E Felony. The arrest stems from an investigation into fraudulent returns and sales adjustments taking place during the months of June and July 2016 while Simonds was employed as the Manager of the Sears Outlet Store located at 5799 State Route 69 in the City of Rome. Simonds completed 7 fraudulent transactions totaling $2,706.75. Simonds was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to Rome City Court on a later date. |
