    Harrisville, NY- A new broadband internet company is now entering the final
    stages of preparations  to begin offering service to customers in the Town of
    Diana/Harrisville market.

    North Country Broadband, which began serving the Lowville area in August, is
    currently finishing up testing at the Harrisville tower, before  starting to provide
    high speed internet service to the public. The provider, which has installed
    equipment on the 911 tower located at 8153 State Route 3 in Harrisville, is able
    to offer wireless service within an initial area of up to a three mile radius of the
    tower location, with a simple antenna and gateway device installed at the
    customers location.

    Testing on the network is expected to be completed by December 1st, and the
    company will begin installing new customers on December 5th. There will be a
    public meeting on December 13th at 7 pm at the Town of Diana/Village of
    Harrisville Municipal Offices on the Old State Road Extension.

    The company has both business and residential services available at a variety
    of speeds and prices. Monthly fees include all taxes, fees, and the required
    gateway device needed to access the service. There is a one-time installation
    fee of $150. New customers can receive a 50% discount off the installation fee
    until December 31st. The installation fee is added to the customers first bill and
    is not due up front

    The service is aimed to serve customers who currently do not have access to
    broadband internet service, but also provides an additional reasonable cost
    option to those who do.

    said.
