    Lewis County, NY- With election day quickly approaching, on Tuesday,
    November 8th, we've put together a preview of what you can expect to see on
    Lewis County ballots. Polls will be open from 6 AM until 9 PM on Tuesday for
    registered voters to cast their ballot.

    We will start with races that will appear on all ballots in Lewis County. As we all
    know, this year, at the top of the ticket, we will be electing a new President and
    Vice President of the United States. Voters will have a choice between four
    candidates on the ballot:

    -Hillary Clinton/Tim Kaine- Democratic/Working Families/Women's Equality lines
    -Donald Trump/Michael Pence- Republican/Conservative lines
    -Jill Stein/Ajuma Baraka- Green line
    -Gary Johnson/Bill Weld- Independence/Libertarian lines

    On the New York State level, voters statewide will be electing a representative
    to the United States Senate. Incumbent Charles E. Schumer will be
    represented on the Democratic line as well as four independent lines, and is
    challenged by Wendy Long running on the Republican and Conservative lines.
    Third party candidates Robin Laverne Wilson (Green Party) and Alex Merced
    (Libertarian Party) are also options on the ballot.

    In the race for New York State's 21st Congressional District, voters will have
    three options to choose from. Incumbent Elise Stefanik is running on the
    Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform party lines and is
    challenged by Mike Derrick on the Democratic and Working Families line and
    Matthew Funiciello on the Green Party line.

    Voters will be asked to select two justices for the 5th Circuit of the New York
    State Supreme Court. The five candidates for the two positions are:
    Democratic Line- Ted Limpert and Scott DelConte
    Republican/Conservative/Independence Lines- Deborah Karalunas and
    Gregory R. Gilbert
    Working Families Line- Ted Limpert and Andrew Falk

    Our representatives in both the New York State Senate and New York State
    Assembly are running unopposed. Kenneth Blankenbush is running on the
    Republican, Conservative and Independence lines in the 117th Assembly
    District and Joseph Griffo is on the Republican, Conservative, Independence
    and Reform party lines for the 47th Senate District.

    A few local elections will be held as well, with the contested races as follows:

    Town of Croghan- Clerk/Tax Collector
    Chelsea Lehman Cowan- Republican line
    Sandra J. Schneider- Conservative and Independence lines
    Rebecca Schroy-For the People line

    Village of Harrisville- Trustee (1)
    Zachary Smith- Democratic line
    Richard N. Malbeuf- Republican line
    Michelle L. LaPlatney- Conservative line

    Town of Harrisburg- Clerk/Tax Collector
    David B. Lyndaker- Democratic line
    Lisa A. Sawdey- Community Voice line

    Town of Oseceola- Proposition 1 (vote yes or no on back of ballot)
    Shall the Annual Contribution of the Taxpayers of the Town of Osceola For The
    Budget of the Osceola Public Library Be Increased By Fifteen Thousand Dollars
    ($15,000) To The Sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000), Collected
    Annually?

    Town of Turin-  Town Council (1)
    Edward J. Kubinski- Democratic Line
    Edward A. Koss-Rebuplican line
    Timothy Paczkowski- People's Choice line

    Town of Watson- Two yes or no propositions on back of ballot
    Proposition 1: Shall Local Law Introductory Number One of 2016 for the Town
    of Watson, entitled a Local Law Abolishing the Position of Elected Town Clerk
    and Tax Collector and Establishing the Position of AppointedTown Clerk and
    Tax Collector for a term of four years be approved?

    Proposition 2: Shall Local Law Introductory Number Two of 2016 for the Town
    of Watson, entitled a Local Law Abolishing the Position of Elected Town
    Superintendent of Highways and Creating the Position of Appointed
    Town Superintendent of Highways for a term of four years be approved?

    Village of Port Leyden- There is nobody on the ballot for mayor or a second
    trustee seat. Voters can write in a candidate for these positions.

    Polling Locations:










    A Sample General Ballot for Lewis County, not including locations with
    municipal races. These races will be included to the right of the State
    Assembly column in applicable jurisdictions. Propositions (Towns of
    Watson and Osceola) will be on the backside of the ballot
