The community is again encouraged to come out and show your

support for the Section III Champion Lowville Red Raiders Varsity Football team

on Saturday morning,

as they leave for their game at Syracuse-North Cicero

High Scool.

Lowville will be taking on Section IV Champion Newark Valley in a State Class

"C" Regional game that is set to kickoff at 12 noon. Newark Valley is the top

ranked team in the new poll of Class C schools by the New York State Sports

Writers Association, with Lowville ranked fifth.

The team will depart from the school at 8:15 AM. Local businesses and

community members are encouraged to show the team their support by

cheering them on as they leave town. We know it's early on a Saturday

morning,

but this is a special achievement that doesn't happen every day! You

can line

both sides of N. State Street around the school to Dayan Street

intersection, where the bus will be leaving and

heading out to Route 177.

Bring your signs, decorate your business if you are in this area, and

let the

players see the Raider pride the community has! We will be out for

pictures so

dress up, have fun and lets show the team how much the

community

appreciates and supports their hard work and how proud we are of their

accomplishments. Let's give them a send off they will always remember! Good
