    Lewis County, NY- Section III soccer playoffs continued this afternoon, with
    four area girls teams taking the field.

    A Class "B" quarterfinal match saw No. 3 Lowville defeat No. 6 Oneida by a 1-0
    score. Lowville advances to the semifinal round where they will face No. 7
    Clinton on Tuesday. Clinton advanced by pulling off an upset over No. 2
    Marcellus this afternoon.

    In Class "C", No. 15 South Lewis lost to No. 2 Little Falls, 6-0. In Beaver Falls,
    No. 5 Beaver River scored a 3-0 victory over No. 12 Mount Markham. Beaver
    River will travel to No. 4 Tully on Saturday for a quarterfinal match.

    Copenhagen's (No. 7) bid to defend their Sectional and State Championships
    came up just short with a 1-0 loss against No. 2 Sackets Harbor in a Class "D"
    match.
