Fire Departments Dispatched to Pair of Sunday Afternoon Incidents

Fire Dispatches (1:15 PM):

Area fire departments have been dispatched to a pair of incidents currently

active:

Copenhagen and Lowville fire have been dispatched to a reported garage

fire on the Pickney Road, near County Route 194. Copenhagen units on

scene report an active fire.

Water rescue units from Glenfield and Croghan, Lewis County Search &

Rescue, and DEC officers have been dispatched to the boat launch in

Glenfield for multiple reports of a man heard yelling for help coming from

near the river.

We'll update when additional information is available.

Update 4:30 PM:

Both scenes have now cleared. Crews cleared the scene

at the boat launch in Glenfield around 2:40 p.m., after the owner of the truck

and boat trailer parked at the launch was safely located. We'll update the

fire near Copenhagen when additional details are available.
