    Notice from Village of Lowville:

On June 12th, 2020 Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed Executive Order 203:
New York State Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative.  This order
focuses on the responsibility of the government to “ensure that all of its citizens
are treated equally, fairly, and justly before the law”.

Mayor Beagle and Police Chief Roggie have been working on this process since
early fall to complete this process in a fair and transparent manner.  The Mayor,
Board of Trustees, and the Chief of Police have committed to ensuring that there
is no place for racial bias in their policies, practices, and procedures.  The Mayor
stated “The community involvement process is critical and we want to begin
receiving feedback from our residents so we can begin to build the partnerships
and support we need to ensure positive change in the policies, practices and
    procedures of the police department”.

The Village of Lowville has partnered with a consulting firm that specializes in
government policy and training to assist them through this process and they are
seeking community feedback.  This ten-question survey provides the Village with
the first round of community input needed to ensure the community concerns are
being heard.  The honest feedback is greatly appreciated in completing this
survey to provide the officials with the information they need to continue
providing efficient and productive police service to the community.  The survey is
available at https://s.surveyplanet.com/AxL2vS7zw and responses will be
    accepted until December 31, 2020.
