Multiple Agencies Respond to Barn Fire in Town of Watson

    Fire Dispatch (9:25 PM): Lowville fire has been dispatched to a reported barn
    fire on the Pine Grove Road, near the Austin Road intersection, in the Town of
    Watson. It was reported to dispatchers that there were animals in the barn, but
    that all people were out safely. Lowville has requested 3-G and New Bremen to
    respond as mutual aid. A Glenfield chief was first to arrive on scene and reported
    a fully involved barn fire. Martinsburg Fire has been requested to provide
    additional mutual aid.

    Update 9:35 PM: Lowville fire chief is on scene and reports to dispatchers an
    active barn fire with multiple vehicles involved as well. He reported multiple
    exposures, including propane tanks in the vicinity.

    Update 9:55 PM: Fire Investigators have been requested to the scene, as well
    as a gradall excavator, which is coming from Lewis County Highway Department.
    Lowville Fire Auxiliary has also been requested to respond with hot beverages
    and refreshments for fire crews.

    Update 11:30 PM: Lowville fire chief reports that the fire is under control at this
    time and crews will remain on scene for overhaul.
