October 21 Meeting of Lowville Village Board

HEARING NOTICE

VILLAGE OF LOWVILLE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Village Board of the Village of Lowville shall

conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. at the

Village Offices located at 5535 Bostwick Street, Lowville, New York, to consider

an increase to its sewer rates. It is proposed that all categories of sewer rates

will increase by 5%. It is proposed that the sewer rate change shall be effective

for the May 2021 sewer billing. This percentage increase in sewer rates shall

apply to all categories including users inside the Village and outside of the

Village. All persons wishing to be heard on this matter should be present at the

place, time and date aforestated or have submitted written comments in

advance. Any persons requiring special accommodations in order to attend or

participate in such hearing should notify the Village Clerk three (3) business days

prior to the meeting.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Village Board of the Village of Lowville shall

conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the

Village offices at 5535 Bostwick Street, Lowville, New York, to consider a local

law to Opt- Out of the New York State Real Property Tax Law Section 487

exemptions for Real Property which includes any Solar Energy System, Wind

Energy System, Farm to Waste Energy System Projects, micro hydroelectric

energy system, fuel cell electric generating system, micro-combined heat and

power generating equipment system, electric energy storage equipment or

electric energy storage system, or fuel flexible linear generator electric

generating system or any other renewable energy system. The regular meeting

of the Board of Trustees shall follow the close of the hearing.

A full copy of the text of the local law is available for inspection at the Village

Office during normal business hours. All persons wishing to be heard on this

matter should be present at the place, time and date aforestated or have

submitted written comments in advance. Any persons requiring special

accommodations to attend or participate in such hearings should notify the

Village Clerk three (3) business days prior to the meeting.
