the COVID-19 virus during a press briefing this morning. County Manager Ryan Piche and Health System CEO Jerry Cayer announced that funding has been secured to perform an additional 300 tests weekly. Both officials also reminded the community of the importance of wearing a mask, as a tool to help stop the spread of the virus, especially with a holiday weekend approaching. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The majority of the clinics will be held on the hospital campus. There are six clinics scheduled on Wednesdays for the outlying communities of Harrisville, Beaver Falls, and Lyons Falls. Depending on the needs of large employers the schedule may be modified accordingly. The clinics will be staffed by two nurses, one each from the health system and local public health. The intention is to begin COVID-19 testing on 7/16.
