Pratt Northam Foundation Awards $20,000 to Lowville Food Pantry
to the Lowville Food Pantry in the amount of $20,000. The money will be used towards the cost of completing their new building. Through the years, the Lowville Food Pantry has grown with the services they provide and the number of families that they serve. Even before the recent Covid19 outbreak, the pantry was the centralized location for emergency services within Lewis County. But while needs and services have grown the pantry’s current location has not. They have outgrown their building and are unable to provide private consultations with their clients and are running short on storage space. Despite lack of space the pantry has continued to provide necessary services and support to those in need. With the completion of their new building the food pantry will have a larger space that will also be more efficient for them to heat and cool. They will have space for private consultations as well as increased storage for perishable foods. The Directors of the Pratt Northam Foundation are grateful to the Pantry, it’s CEO Daniel Taylor, his staff of community volunteers and members of their Board for all that they are doing to support our community. |
