Woman Injured After Being Struck by ATV at
Adirondack International Speedway in New Bremen

A Manlius, NY woman was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital,

with a reported contusion

to the forehead

and back pain

after being struck by an

ATV Thursday night in the campground area at

Adirondack International

Speedway.

Paula

Smith, 46, was walking near the entrance of the campground around

11:40

p.m. when she was struck by an ATV operated by Edward

Knapp, 46, of

Lowville, according to State Police.

Police said

Mr. Knapp did not see the pedestrian, described to be wearing dark

clothing,

when he turned onto a dirt driveway at the location.
