| State Police Investigating Fatal ATV Accident at Adirondack International Speedway in Town of New Bremen May 18, 2020 11:00 a.m. Updated: 11:45 a.m. |
accident that occurred at the Adirondack International Speedway on the Artz Road on Saturday night. Beaver Falls ambulance and Lewis County Search & Rescue units were dispatched to the scene at 11:52 p.m. on Saturday night. Initial reports to emergency dispatchers indicated an ATV rollover accident with one injury, with the victim reported as unconscious and not breathing with CPR in progress. State Police have confirmed a fatal accident in the town of New Bremen on Saturday night in their activity log provided on Sunday, but no other details have been released at this time. We've reached out to State Police for additional information and will update when available. UPDATE FROM NYSP: On May 16, 2020, at 11:55 p.m., State Police in Lowville responded to a reported UTV crash that occurred at the Adirondack Speedway parking lot located at 8403 Artz Road in the town of New Bremen, Lewis County. The investigation has revealed 31-year-old, Danielluis T. Diaz from Blossvale, NY was operating his 2017 CAN AM Maverick X# UTV on a gravel parking lot when he lost control after striking a rut and overturned. Diaz, who was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt was partially ejected. He was transported to Lewis County General Hospital with severe head injuries and was pronounced deceased. State Police continue to investigate the crash. |
