| Lowville Boards Vote to Cancel 2020 Summer Recreation Program May 21, 2020 11:00 a.m. By: Nick Altmire |

After speaking with a risk management specialist with the insurance company representing both the town and village of Lowville it was recommended that the program be cancelled this year due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The village board voted unanimously in favor of cancelling the program during Wednesday night's meeting. The town board unanimously approved a similar motion during their meeting this morning to cancel the program for 2020. The program is a joint venture between the town and village, with both sharing costs. Last year a total of 221 children between the ages of 5 and 12 participated in the program. |
