Matthew Morrow Appointed New Director of Probation in Lewis County

    Lowville, NY- The Lewis County Board of Legislators approved a new Director
    of Probation via resolution at Tuesday's meeting.

    Matthew Morrow will take over the post effective April 1, replacing retiring
    Director of Probation Mary Jo Burkhard. Ms. Burkhard's last day of employment
    will be March 31, after completing 39 1/2 years at Lewis County's probation
    Department.

    Mr. Morrow has been a probation officer at the department since September of
    2011. He'll oversee the department's four probation officers in his new role.
