County Planning Director Resigns to
Accept Position at Lewis County Health System

    Lowville, NY- The Lewis County Director of Planning has submitted his
    resignation with plans to accept a new position at Lewis County Health System.

    Frank J. Pace, who has served as Director of Planning since 2015, said he
    notified county lawmakers on Tuesday that he would be resigning from the
    position effective March 3. Mr. Pace said he plans to accept a position as
    Facilities Director for Lewis County Health System, which includes the hospital,
    nursing home and other entities operated by the hospital.

    The county legislative board will next begin the process of  selecting a new
    Director of Planning.

    According to the county website, "The mission of the Lewis County Department
    of Planning, at the direction of the Lewis County Board of Legislators, is to
    provide services to our municipalities, organizations, businesses and citizens to
    ensure that carefully planned and successful development occurs within the
    County in accord with the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan. In support of this
    mission, the Department will provide assistance and resources to Lewis County
    municipalities and organizations for community development, project planning,
    zoning, and grant writing and administration. We will work with businesses to
    provide information and guidance to meet their business development needs and
    to create growth in our County. The Department will also provide general
    information and resources to citizens for various planning, zoning and economic
    development issues."
