NYS Department of Labor Releases December Unemployment Data

The New York State Department of Labor released unemployment

data for the month of December on Tuesday. Lewis County had an

unemployment rate of 6.6%, third highest in the state and up from the 5.8% rate

the previous year. The state’s seasonally adjusted rate for December was 4.0%.
