Video: Retiring County Treasurer Honored With Resolution
Commending Over 33 Years of Service to Lewis County

    Lowville, NY- A special resolution was read during the December 19 meeting of
    the Lewis County Board of Legislators, commending retiring County Treasurer
    Patricia O'Brien for over 33 years of service with Lewis County.

    Mrs. O'Brien started work in the Treasurer's office on March 31, 1986 as an
    account clerk. She was appointed Deputy Treasurer by the Treasurer Vicki Roy
    on January 4, 2005. Upon Ms. Roy's resignation, Mrs. O'Brien was appointed
    unanimously by the Lewis County Board of Legislators to serve the unexpired
    term beginning on January 16, 2011. Mrs. O'Brien then successfully campaigned
    and was elected to serve 4 year terms in both 2011 and 2015. She will retire
    effective December 31, 2019.
