Udderly Rugged 5K Run Returns to Maple Ridge Center August 31

August 29, 2019   10:00 p.m.
    Press Release:

The 6th annual Udderly Rugged Run is returning to Maple Ridge Center in
Lowville on Saturday, August 31. The family-friendly adventure 5K features
various obstacles on a trail throughout the community center's property, including
up the snow tubing hill, through the woods, and around the racing track.

Obstacles include a rope swing, stump hop, hurdles, and more. A water balloon
gauntlet will give observers the opportunity to drench runners as they go by. The
post-race ice cream sundae party, open to runners and friends, is sponsored by
    Stewart's Shops.

Registration is $25. Runners can register at www.mapleridgecenter.org or at the
race on Saturday. Check-in begins at 8:00 AM; the race begins at 9:00 AM.
Obstacles are designed for runners 12 years and older, though younger runners
are invited to join if accompanied by an adult. The Udderly Rugged Run benefits
Beaver Camp, a summer camp and year-round retreat center in the nearby
Adirondacks. Beaver Camp and Maple Ridge Center are both owned by the
Adirondack Mennonite Camping Association, which is celebrating 50 years of
community impact thanks to innovative programs, youth events, Challenge
    Course activities, and more.

For more information or online registration, visit www.mapleridgecenter.org or call
the Beaver Camp office at (315) 376-2640.
