    Video: The Sheriff's Office budget was the main topic of discussion at tonight's
    meeting of the Lewis County Board of Legislators, with no apparent resolution to
    the situation settled. With no public comment after opening a public hearing for a
    local law to allow partial payment of property taxes, Chairman of the Board
    Lawrence Dolhof told those gathered that County Manager Ryan Piche would
    give a presentation on the Sheriff's budget issue, followed by a public comment
    period. A number of people expressed concern over the suspension of the Parks
    and Recreation Service patrols, including the boat patrols on Brantingham Lake.
    Sheriff Micheal Carpinelli then spoke, followed by a back-and-forth between the
    Sheriff and members of the legislative board. You can see the full video below.
