Dollar General Store Proposed in Village of Copenhagen

Copenhagen, NY-

The Village of Copenhagen Board of Trustees cleared the

first hurdle for a proposed Dollar General store within the village limits by passing

a local law at a special meeting on Thursday evening, setting new land use

regulations for the village.

With the new law now on the books, the Village Board of Trustees is expected to

review the site plans at their July 25th meeting and set a date for a public hearing

on the proposed store.

The store's proposed location is on State Route 12 on the northern edge of the

village.

GYMO Architecture, Engineering and Land Surveying, of Watertown, is handling

the site plan review process for Dollar General.

If all goes according to plan, construction could begin this fall.
