Lowville Man Sentenced to Serve 5 Years in Prison on Weapon Charges

A Lowville man was sentenced this afternoon in Lewis County

Court, with the Honorable John H. Crandall presiding, after pleading guilty to a

pair of weapon charges on April 12.

Michael C. Tabolt, 43, will serve a total of 5 1/2 years in State prison followed by

5 years of post release parole on charges of

second-degree Criminal Possession

of a Weapon, a class C felony, and third-

degree Criminal Possession of a

Weapon, a class D felony. He was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees.

The involved weapons were ordered to be destroyed.

During his plea on April 12, Mr. Tabolt admitted to posessing an AR15 semi-

automatic rifle and a firearm

silencer on November 17, 2018 in the town of

Martinsburg. He had a prior

Assault conviction from 1999, preventing him from

legally possessing firearms.
