    Greensboro, NY- Four Lewis County outdoor track runners earned their way to
    participate in events at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Track
    Championships this weekend at Aggie Stadium, in Greensboro, NC.

    Hannah Ielfield, from South Lewis, ran in the Girls 2,000 M Steeplechase,
    finishing 7th overall in the nation with a time of 6:58.94. Taylor Ewert, from
    Beaver Creek, OH, finished first, posting a time of 6:33.61.






















    Colton Kempney, from Beaver River, placed 23rd in the nation in the Boys
    2,000 M Steeplechase with a time of 6:14.93. The time set a new NYS freshman
    record for the 2,000 M Steeplechase, according to coach Danielle Grunert.
    Parker Stokes, from Maine-Endwell, NY, placed first in the event with a time of
    5:53.19.






















    Lexi Bernard, from South Lewis, ran in the Girls 1 Mile Freshman, placing 17th
    overall with a time of 5:15.75.
