this morning, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding. Herbert E. Lamb, 45, pleaded guilty to one count each of first-degree Rape, a class B felony, and third-degree Incest, a class E felony. Sentencing was adjourned to June 21, when he is expected to receive 10 years in State prison, followed by 20 years of post-release parole. He was facing three counts of each charge, which could have resulted in 75 years in State prison if convicted on all counts. Mr. Lamb admitted to engaging in unwanted sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion on September 18, 2018 in the town of Martinsburg and engaging in intercourse with a person known to be related to him on August 17, 2018 in the Town of Martinsburg. |
