    Lowville, NY- The following sentencing and plea activity took place this morning
    in Lewis County Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding:

    Kyle T. Simpson, 24, of Lowville, was sentenced to serve one year in Lewis
    County jail on a charge of fourth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property,
    a class E felony, to which he entered a guilty plea to on May 17. Mr. Simpson
    admitted to possessing a debit card belonging to someone else on September
    10, 2018 in the town of Croghan. He was additionally ordered to pay $411.40 in
    restitution with surcharge and $375 in court fees.

    Jesse J. Farney, 33, of Glenfield, pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree
    Welfare Fraud, a class E felony, admitting to receiving $1,620 in SNAP benefits
    by providing false information to the Lewis County Department of Social
    Services. Sentencing was adjourned to July 19.

    Ginger L. Misener, 38, of Glenfield, pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree
    Welfare Fraud, a class E felony, admitting to receiving $1,317.80 in public
    assistance benefits to which she was not entitled to. Sentencing in the case is
    scheduled for June 21.

    Ryan M. Noftsier, 25, of Lowville, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree
    burglary, a class C felony. Mr. Noftsier admitted that on February 24 he entered
    a home in the Town of Martinsburg, with the intent to commit a crime. Sentencing
    was adjourned to June 21.
