Section III Baseball and Softball Tournament Results:

Beaver River advanced to the next round of sectional play in both baseball and

softball on Wednesday, will both teams set to take to the field again today.

In baseball, No. 6 Beaver River defeated No. 14 Tully 11-1 in a Class C

quarterfinal game on Wednesday, moving on to a semifinal game against No. 2

Cooperstown this afternoon at 4:30. The winner will advance to the sectional title

game on Saturday.

In softball, No. 5 Beaver River defeated No. 12 Onondaga by a 12-8 score in a

Class C first round game. Beaver River will face No. 4 Pulaski in a quarterfinal

game this afternoon at 4:30.

In other action:

In the Class C baseball tournament, No. 1 Orisikany beat No. 8 South Lewis by a

score of 8-4.

In Class C softball, No. 3 Port Byron defeated No. 14 South Lewis by a 13-6

score.
