Lewis County grand jury, unsealed this afternoon in Lewis County court with the Honorable Charles C. Merrell presiding. Xavier Rose, 28, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of third-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, both class B felonies. A $40,000 bond posted in Jefferson County for additional charges he is facing there was carried over to also cover pre-trial release on the two charges in Lewis County. Mr. Rose is accused of possessing and selling cocaine in the Town of Denmark on November 8, 2018. He is next scheduled to appear in Lewis County court on May 17. |
