Current superintendent Cheryl Steckly is set to retire over the summer, with the school's Board of Education in the final phase of naming a successor. The choice has been narrowed down to two finalists, from the fourteen applications received. Each finalist, current Superintendent of Remsen Central School District Rebecca Dunckel-King and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at Oneida City School District Tina Lane, were given 45 minutes to introduce themselves to the community and field questions from those in attendance. Community members were given feedback forms to provide their impressions to the Board of Education for consideration before a final decision is made.
