The New York State Department of Labor released March

unemployment data this afternoon. Lewis County had the state's second highest

rate at 7.2 percent, down from l

ast March's rate of 7.8 percent, but up slightly

from February's rate of 7.1 percent. The state's seasonably adjusted rate for

March was 4 percent. Statewide
