    Press Release:

Carthage Federal Savings and Loan Association announces new Croghan
office will be located at The International Maple Museum Centre

The International Maple Museum Centre in Croghan will be the site of Carthage
Savings’ 4th branch office serving Northern New York. The branch will replace
Exhibit Room 1 on the main floor of the Museum. Existing exhibits will be
    relocated throughout the building.

Thomas Piche’, President of Carthage Savings, calls this a win-win for the
    Community and the Association.

The Maple Museum is located in the former Father Leo Memorial School, a
substantial building which holds many memories and much historical value for the
Croghan Community.  Carthage Savings is pleased to partner with the Museum,
as its presence should help offset some of the operating and maintenance of this
property.  Our rents will bring a stable cash flow, and we will also provide
substantial property improvements, such as renovated entrances, upgraded
windows, and a complete renovation of the area we will occupy.  We want people
to understand our commitment to the Croghan community and our desire to have
    a long term positive impact.

Don Moser, President of the Maple Museum, shared his excitement to partner
with the member-owned Association.  “This project will help bring financial
stability to the organization and the bank is committed to making significant
improvements to our building.  This is truly a win-win.”

Mr. Piche’ stated that Carthage Savings has also committed to making a $20,000
donation, to be used as their board desires, and which is in addition to rent and
the property improvements planned for this year.  We are looking at this as a
long-term site.  We would like to add a drive up ATM on-site and will need to
work with the Museum on its placement.  It’s in our mission statement to partner
with and enhance the communities we serve.  We feel that we are accomplishing
both in this partnership with the Maple Museum.

Renovations will begin immediately, and the office will open as soon as possible.
Wendy McLane, a long time resident of the area, has been hired as our Croghan
    Manager.

Until we open full time, Carthage Savings will be at the Maple Museum on
    Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to
answer questions and open accounts.  Many special incentives are being offered
to new members.  The staff may also be scheduled to meet at your convenience
by calling 315-493-3480 or contacting them at bank@carthagesavings.com.
