Lewis County Office for the Aging each year participates in the National “March for Meals” campaign that is coordinated by the Meals on Wheels Association of America. This is an annual campaign intended to increase awareness and community engagement to support our senior neighbors. Community Champions Week is March 18, 2019 – March 22, 2019. Community Champions Week is a time in which senior nutrition programs are encouraged to invite elected officials, local celebrities, and other prominent community figures to share their support for senior nutrition programs by delivering meals to seniors at their homes, or by assisting with meal service at congregate sites. This year, the Lewis County Office for the Aging will host their annual “March for Meals” Celebration on Monday, March 18th; Wednesday, March 20th; and/or Thursday, March 21st.
