morning in Lewis County Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding: Kenneth D. Clark, 26, of Natural Bridge, was sentenced to serve a three year probation term on charges of one count of second-degree Criminal Contempt and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors to which he pleaded guilty to on November 16. He was additionally ordered to pay $250 in court fees and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. Mr. Clark admitted that on June 25, 2018, in the Town of Diana, he struck a protected party in the arm and face, causing her lip to split and bleed. He additionally admitted to throwing a spatula during the dispute, which struck a child under the age of two. Joshua D. Mantle, 29, of Harrisville, was placed on interim conditions of probation for one year on a charge of second-degree Attempted Assault, a class "E" felony, Final sentencing was scheduled for January 10, 2020. Mr. Mantle admitted to striking his grandmother during an argument on March 11, 2018 in the town of Diana. Dajoun M. Marcellus, 22, of Glenfield, was sentenced to time-served in the Lewis County Jail and five years of probation after pleading guilty to the following three felony counts on November 2, 2018:
restitution and will have his license to drive suspended for six months. Dana M. Myers, 49, of Castorland, was sentenced to serve five years on probation on a charge of second-degree Forgery, a class D felony, to which he pleaded guilty to on November 16, 2018. He was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees. Mr. Myers admitted that on August 7, 2018, in the Town of Denmark, he knowingly forged a doctors signature on a document to obtain a medical benefit to which he was not entitled. Sierra A. Swisher, 33, of Canton, PA, pleaded guilty to charges of fifth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, both class D felonies. She was then sentenced to serve one year in the Lewis County Jail and was ordered to pay $375 in court fees. Ms. Swisher admitted that she possessed and sold psychedelic mushrooms at the moe.down Music Festival in the Town of Turin on July 1, 2017. Ashley M. Walseman, 29, of Croghan, pleaded guilty to charges of third- degree Attempted Burglary, a class E felony and third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class D felony. She was then place in the Lewis County Drug Court program. Ms. Walseman admitted to breaking into the Watson Inn during the overnight hours of January 16-17, 2018 to steal money. She also admitted to possessing materials to manufacture methamphetamine during a July 26, 2018 traffic stop in the town of Lowville. |
