Video: 10th Annual Lewis County 'Shop With a Cop'

    Lowville, NY- First responders from across the county descended on the
    Walmart in Lowville this morning, each paired with a child for the 10th Annual
    'Shop With a Cop' program.

    The program, organized by Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Schmitt,
    helps brighten the holidays for some area children, by providing them an
    opportunity to go shopping for anything they want (with a provided gift
    certificate) and spending the day with emergency personnel. In Lewis County,
    police agencies team up with local fire and ambulance squads, the DEC,
    Forest Rangers, and other agencies for the event.
